Colt starting
For weanlings, yearlings, and two-year-olds that need the right beginning. Piper builds the understanding the horse will need before carrying the work into saddling and the first rides.
- Evaluation of handling, movement, mindset, and current responses
- At least 7–10 days of groundwork before riding begins
- Finding the right answer, giving to pressure, body control, confidence, and respect
- Saddling and first rides when the horse is ready
- 02
Foundation training
For horses that are already under saddle but have gaps in their training, inconsistent responses, or need a fresh start—including off-track Thoroughbreds. Piper returns to the ground before developing the same clear answers under saddle.
- Evaluation identifies where the work needs the greatest emphasis
- Groundwork establishes clearer, more dependable responses
- Ground and saddle work develop confidence, body control, and responsiveness
- Everyday rideability is built without relying on a quick fix
Youth lessons are scheduled separately. They are not the main program.
